Ellen W. Henry, born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1956, she received her BFA in painting from University of Kansas (KU) in 1978.  She has studied with Robert Greene at KU and Michael Walling at Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI).  She is currently working at MLB Designs in the Plaza area. 

Ellen has done design and charitable work with DIFFA; co-chaired and worked with Dining by Design Art Auctions.  She has been involved in choral groups since high school as her parents were instrumental in the formation of The Meistersingers, precursor of the Kansas City Chorale.

As a survivor of abuse herself and the daughter of a professional fundraiser, she has taken on the role of Director in the Battered Souls Advocates charity.  Her commitment is to make a difference in the world of violence and abuse by being an advocate in bringing healing and peace to victims/survivors.
